Information Technology is looking for a strong team player to join their team of highly trained professionals. If you have a keen interest in database management, then consider the position of Database Administrator 2 as a possible next step in your career path.

This position is responsible for developing and supporting Sears’ database and data warehouse environments. This involves:

• Assisting in gathering data requirements, constructing logical data models, producing functional data models, and providing other database expertise.
• Supporting implemented databases 24/7 by maintaining data integrity, recoverability, operability and appropriate levels of security.
• Providing coaching, consulting and support to Application Provisioning and Support teams by setting data management standards, conventions and policies.

Success in this role calls for technical skills in multiple platforms (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server) and the ability to work under stressful conditions and adapt quickly to changing demands. The ideal job candidate will have completed a University Undergraduate degree in Computer Science. Experience as Programmer Analyst 2 and Database Administrator 1, is an asset.

This position provides an excellent opportunity to broaden your technical skills and ability adapt to a rapidly changing technological environment. It can lead to positions of increased responsibility within Information Technology.
