Central Processing Technology, located in Stratford, ON, is responsible for the development and implementation of distributed and web based applications. We develop with a mix of software tools, vendor products and technology in varying degrees and complexity.
Our clients include the Retail Domestic Branches, Shared Services, Human Resources, International Banking, Small Business Banking and Retail Lending Services.
The Database Analyst has day-to-day support responsibilities for assigned systems, participates in the analysis, design, development and testing of project deliverables, working with the business client and technical team to implement business solutions.
. Participate in the development or integration of application systems from a database administration perspective
. Develop table and index changes
. Assist development staff in troubleshooting application system problems
. Assist with creating project and system documentation as required
. Participate as a team member in ongoing projects under the direction of a Project Leader
. 3 to 5 years experience as a Database Analyst using Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2 UDB, Oracle
. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, DB2 or Oracle database administration
. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and UNIX operating systems
. Exposure to SQL Server Integration Services or Data Transformation Services
. Exposure to Quest monitoring tools
. Experience in the design of logical and physical database models
. Database change management
. Database performance tuning
. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
. Excellent problem solving skills
. Demonstrated experience in multitasking between more than one application
. Must be a self starter with a strong desire to learn new skills
EDUCATION AND ACCREDITATIONS:
. University/ college degree in Computer Science or equivalent
. DBA Certification in SQL Server or DB2 is desirable
