Job Specifications:
A university degree in computer science or information management or approved equivalent and a minimum of five years Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program management. Ideally, SAP Portfolio management, business intelligence (BI) assessment and blueprinting internal application development, gap analysis determination, business process re-engineering, client relationship management, issue resolution management, training program development and implementation support and maintenance.   Extensive knowledge and understanding of information technology implementation strategies, development life cycle methodologies, project management methodologies, web portal and Internet technologies.  Excellent facilitation, communication and project management skills with an ability to manage inter-departmental teams and project schedules.  Demonstrated ability to manage staff, to prioritize and delegate tasks and motivate staff in a creative, technical environment as well as influencing others in highly complex situations. Knowledge of  SAP Financial, Materiel Management, Stores, HR & Benefits, Payroll or Time & Attendance modules using mySAP ERP ECC 6.0 utilizing Business Intelligence and Business Objects Enterprise an asset.

Primary Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director, Information Technology the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the continuous development and maintenance and support of the City’s SAP Portfolio and will ultimately, oversee the day-to-day operation of the SAP ERP program on behalf of all City stakeholders.  Develop sound business relationships with the functional areas operating on the SAP application platform; obtain in-depth knowledge of the business processes utilized and deployed within each area, and the workflow associations to the applicable SAP module; provide overall SAP Program Management; develop strategies and procedures for efficient implementation of all SAP related projects; develop and implement project tools specific to SAP implementations; develop service level agreements to ensure support needs are met and service levels are maintained; act as the “Relationship Manager”, working with business sponsors and stakeholders in identifying business requirements and developing project plans and business cases; escalate production, support or client service issues to the SAP Enterprise Steering Committee, or IT Committee with ultimate accountability for issue resolution; track, monitor, and communicate program progress against the consolidated plan, requirements, quality measures, standard processes and milestones; co-ordinate the input, support and communication with all functional groups that impact program scope, business value, and risk and resource requirements; ensure periodic quality reviews, internal audits, synergy team and architectural reviews are carried out. Assesses performance of staff, provide feedback and resolve disciplinary problems.  Prepare and submit capital and current budget recommendations, monitor budgets and approve expenditures.  Maintain technical currency on information management, information technologies, strategies and trends. Provide guidance to staff and project team members on managing client relationships and provide specialized support, primarily as it relates to the project management process.  Establish annual and projected work plans for section in conjunction with I.T. Division work program, task priorities and allocate section staff accordingly.  Prepare and/or review request for quotations/proposals and submissions ensuring technical compliance and integration with City standards and architectures. Responsible for ensuring the continuous development, maintenance and support of the City’s SAP Enterprise Support team; contribute and actively participate on Information Technology Management Team.  Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary range: $96,645 - $128,861
