Position Description

 

POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manager of Finance & Reporting Systems, this position actively participates in the successful execution of enterprise level transactional and reporting projects related to both legacy system(s) as well as the SAP implementation (Leapfrog). This position will require hands-on involvement in the determination of scope, building of timelines and project plans, risk and security analysis, business process design and review, testing, training, implementation and support.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Business Systems Analyst - Finance & Reporting Systems is responsible for the following functions:
. Active participation in the SAP Finance, Controlling, COPA, Product Costing, Reporting (BI) and integration aspects of the Project Leapfrog (SAP Implementation) rollout.
. SAP System support for all business units (Eg: Frozen Bakery, Poultry, Pork etc) that are live on SAP.
. Legacy system support (BPCS, Khalix, Cognos and Hyperion) for all business units until such systems are sunset.
. Ensure deliverables are adherent to project governance and compliant with MLF Standards as well as general SDLC principles.
. Build and maintain highly effective relationships with key share groups, business process owners, peers within IS and throughout the company.
. Maintain awareness of customer satisfaction levels with respect to individual and team performance.
. Ongoing communication of issues, activities and initiatives with team, Manager, Director or VP as appropriate.
. Ongoing communication with the Manager, Director and VP with respect to value added initiatives and projects, with a view to identifying and leveraging opportunities.
. Build SAP knowledge within the team with a view to building an efficient and effective sustainment organization.
. Participate in weekend and after hours work during cutovers during SAP Go-Lives and legacy system fixes.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

. 8-10 years of experience within a similar IS organization, Finance function or CPG industry vertical.
. Degree in Information Systems, Business or related. Finance designation a plus.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

. Hands on involvement in multiple end to end SAP implementations and/or rollouts.
. Specific core FI/CO experience required in the areas of GL, AR, AP, Banking, Asset Accounting, COPA and Cost/Profit Center Accounting. Product Costing knowledge is a bonus.
. Knowledge of integration points with other modules (SD, MM, CRM, SCM etc) is preferred.
. Basic knowledge of security and authorization concepts in SAP.
. Experience/knowledge of ECC 6, New GL & Document Splitting.
. Knowledge of Business Objects or BI/BW is preferred but not required.
. Hands on experience participating in (building scripts, test data etc) in SIT and in guiding UAT is a must.

- Knowledge of business processes within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry would be a nice to have.
