KUBRA is seeking hard-working, creative, adaptable go-getters who thrive in a team environment.  We are a rapidly growing company that needs an energetic Senior Database Administrator to join our Network Services Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage databases in multiple instances for development, testing, building, and production

  • Support development, test, prep, and production environments and tool chains including software and services selection (as required)
  • Collaborate with development team to define and implement software tools using scripts and code for automated builds, database management / import / export and others
  • Act as DBA on multiple MS-SQL instances ensuring synchronization and focusing on tuning and optimization
  • Manage batch data import and export processes writing scripts and code as necessary to do basic flat file parsing and database mapping
  • Participate in design and implementation of utilities to support various backend service management, data collection, and basic reporting requirements
  • Responsible for ensuring Data Integrity and security is maintained by controlling all computer databases volumes and lifecycle arrangements for archiving
  • Responsible for the maintenance of MS-SQL/MySql DBs and any updates as required
  • Solve problems and make decisions within delegated authority to ensure minimal productivity loss
  • Continually review and improve work practices and methods to ensure they are the best for the task allocated

Requirements:


  • Candidate will be expected to have solid basic system administration and high-level DBA capabilities supporting MS-SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 under Windows Server environments 2003/2008.  MySQL experience highly desirable.
  • Windows Server 2003 administration including key application services IIS, SQL 2000/2005/2008, ODBC, .Net, and web services
  • Microsoft SQL DBA experience required (SQL and DDL, indexing and tuning, partitions management, security and roles, data import and export, PL*SQL, schema optimization, replication); SQL Server desired;Basic TCP/IP network and services management in support of tools deployment and configuration
  • Certification/Degree or equivalent Experience in Computer Information Systems
