IT System/Network Support Specialist

CSDC Systems Inc., has an exciting opportunity in our Mississauga, ON office for a full time, permanent IT System/Network support specialist. Required technology qualifications:
System administration:
* MS Windows XP, MS Windows 7, MS Server 2003/2008
* Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu, Oracle Linux)
* VMWare, VMWare ESX
* Hardware (Intel/AMD based servers, desktops, laptops)
* MS Office products

Network administration:
* TCP/IP network, MS network, network hardware (firewalls, switches, VPN), VoIP,Web server, Apache Tomcat, FTP server, DNS/DHCP, Wireless network

Database administration:
* Oracle 10g/11g, MS SQL Server 2005/2008

Desired technology qualifications
System administration:
* Sun Solaris, IBM AIX
* IBM WebSphere, Oracle 10g AS, Oracle Weblogic, Jboss AS

Network administration:
* MS Exchange

Database administration:
* Oracle RAC

Role and responsibilities
* Address IT issues at CSDC Mississauga office and provide remote support for other CSDC offices
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting to CSDC staff
* Develop and document a set of IT policies and procedures including: security policies, maintenance procedures (backup/restore, VPN setup, user setup/revoke, etc.)
* Facilitate hardware/software/services acquisition process
* Perform scheduled and ad-hoc IT related activities and tasks (system/network/printer maintenance, security monitoring, backup, etc.)
* Perform hardware/software setup and support for new and existing users
* Develop AMANDA platform deployment and integration expertise
* Develop and document a set deployment and integration documents for AMANDA platform
* Assist AMANDA platform deployment on customer sites as well as internally at CSDC
* Provide database administration support (installation)
