Senior Database Administrator

Canadian Health Systems is seeking highly motivated, senior professional database administrator to join our team. As a member of the DBA team, you will report to the Vice President Product Development and will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of a leading edge health care systems. Skills & Experience

-Demonstrable experience implementing and managing a complex SQL Server database environment x 5 years

-Demonstrable experience implementing and managing an SQL Server 2008 Merge Replication topology x 5 years

-Demonstrable experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues,
replication issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc. x 5 years

-Demonstrable experience in creating and implementing, and testing a disaster recovery plan for an SQL server merge replication topology x 5 years

-Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands x 5 years

-Experience working with Windows Server, including Active Directory and proper disk configurations x 5 years

-Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics x 5 years

-Experience solving database problems x 5 years

-Experience with configuration of database files x 5 years

-Fluent in spoken and written English

-Bachelor's Degree

-Strong communication skills

-Participate in the SQL Server community via online Forums, Blogs and local community groups
