Due to continued organizational growth, we are currently seeking a Database Administrator to join our team in Toronto.
Position Summary

As a Database Administrator for our Data Architecture- Investment IT division you will be responsible for analyzing, recommending, building, and supporting database management systems required by the Board to meet our business objectives.
The Role

You will.

  • Install new relational database servers and instances.
  • Troubleshoot database issues
  • Perform data migrations as required by the business.
  • Execute schedules and monitors database maintenance.
  • Make recommendations for new technology adoption
  • Update and communicate project status to management and users.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Computer Science degree or equivalent working experience 
  • Training in investment/finance or experience in financial industry an asset.
  • Experience with the full project lifecycle from conception to implementation and support.
  • Deep understanding of RDBMS structures
  • Familiarity with data model design and database stored procedure development
  • Experience with relational database administration tasks
