Specific Skills/Background Required
  • University degree/technical diploma in Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years progressively responsible experience in database development and support.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with MS Transact-SQL, in particular experience with stored procedures and triggers.
  • Familiarity with the EIS tools of SQL Server, in particular Reporting Services (SSRS), Analysis Services (SSAS) and Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the demonstrated ability to interface well with clients.
  • Excellent written communication skills and experience in writing technical documentation.
  • Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide after-hours on-call support on a rotational basis.
  • Knowledge of the .NET environment and C#.NET would be considered an asset.
Brief Job Description

This position is responsible for the development, support and integrity of data warehouses. This requires close work with in-house application development teams and business area clients. Specific skills required are knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, particularly the EIS tool SSRS, SSIS and SSAS. Experience with database modeling tools such as Allfusion ERWIN would also be beneficial.
